Firm History
In 1999, Kenny Leigh graduated from law school and began his career in complex commercial litigation before serving as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office. Shortly thereafter, he took a leap of faith and opened his own practice, Kenny Leigh & Associates. In those early days, he rented a single office from another small firm, shared one computer with his part-time secretary, and accepted any case that came through the door, regardless of the area of law.
As time went on, Kenny found himself drawn to family law. Recognizing the value of focus and specialization, he devoted himself exclusively to that field, determined to become an expert. At first, he represented both men and women, but he quickly began to see a troubling pattern: men were consistently treated differently than women in family court. Believing this disparity was unfair, he made the bold decision to narrow his practice even further, focusing solely on men’s and fathers’ rights in Family Law.
It was not an easy path. In fact, Kenny nearly went bankrupt in the first year by turning away cases outside his mission. But his conviction never wavered. He was determined to create a firm dedicated to giving men a strong voice in the legal system.
That determination has paid off. Over the years, Kenny Leigh & Associates has represented thousands of men throughout Florida. While progress has been made, Kenny believes the system is still not completely fair. His commitment today is the same as it was from the start: to represent men with relentless preparation, aggressive advocacy when necessary, and a deep respect for every client’s case.
